As we continue our journey to redefine environmental monitoring through decentralized networks, we are excited to unveil our roadmap for 2024: a blueprint for evolving Ambient into a flourishing ecosystem.
This roadmap is designed to guide us through strategic initiatives that will strengthen our infrastructure, enhance our technological capabilities, engage our community, and expand our commercial footprint. The support we’ve received since our launch from industry leaders, business partners, the community, and investors fuels our commitment to building a dynamic ecosystem that empowers communities to make impactful, data-driven environmental decisions.
As we progress through the year, the initiatives outlined here will further solidify Ambient’s leadership and innovation in the industry.
Q2 2024: The Birth of Ambient
We have been setting up strong foundations for Ambient and have achieved a significant milestone by taking over an existing network and community of globally distributed sensors, with the ambition of transforming it into the largest decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) dedicated to environmental monitoring. As a result, Ambient has been highlighted in the 2024 DePIN report by Borderless Capital as a “key player” in the next evolution of Web3 distributed hardware networks.
So what’s ahead?
This period focuses on integrating and rewarding the community as we prepare for significant technological shifts. We’ll be introducing our mobile app, AmbiGo!, to reward real-time environmental data capture across the places we all visit every day.
We’re building an expansion of our rewards ecosystem that will drive participation from a wider pool of users, fueling adoption and growth beyond physical sensors. For users of the app, this means your data and efforts will be rewarded, ultimately leading to a significant and measurable impact over time. For current participants of the network, this will mean an additional way to receive rewards as well as an exciting new way to market Ambient to new audiences.

Complemented by the release of our tokenomics framework to ensure every network contributor benefits meaningfully from our ecosystem, this plan will also include incentives for migration to our revamped platform.
During this period we expect to deploy on the Solana Testnet, ensuring that everything is streamlined for a smooth user experience once we fully migrate to the blockchain.
Q3 2024: Landing on Solana
Our journey continues as we ‘land’ on Solana in the third quarter. This transition is more than just technological; it signifies Ambient’s commitment to fostering an engaged digital economy by joining an already thriving ecosystem.
With the official token deployment on Solana, a new mobile app acting as a gateway for the adoption of Ambient’s environmental mission, and an upgraded back end for the explorer and sensors dashboard, we are enhancing the basics of the network’s infrastructure to remove known issues and to create a clean slate to scale moving forward. The introduction of PLANETS to AMBIENT token and NFT (for sensors and licenses) swaps, along with a beta version of our new storefront, will provide both existing and new participants with an ease of migration and a lower barrier to benefit.
Q4 2024: Network Growth
The strategic partnerships and growth initiatives we are already pursuing are poised to significantly widen our impact and operational scale. The launch of an enterprise and data dashboard will allow Ambient to offer businesses powerful tools to leverage Ambient’s extensive data for environmental monitoring and decision-making.
The public relaunch of our sensor storefront will allow for a better experience, the expansion of the range of devices and use cases Ambient will enable, enhancing the commercial value and use of the data collected. Improvements in onboarding and the user journey will also make it easier to participate in our ecosystem, while strategic growth initiatives will aim to broaden our impact.
2024: A Year of Transformation
2024 represents a year of setting the basic foundations, empowering a growing community, and scaling. Each new chapter will build on the last, evolving from building blocks into Ambient as a leading force in environmental monitoring.
